E-Z Soft Pretzels
2 1/4 c all purpose
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 1/3 c warm water
3 Tbsp oil
2 tsp honey
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/4 c wheat germ
1 tsp salt
sesame or poppy seeds
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix 2 cups of flour and yeast in a large bowl.
Add water, oil and honey. Beat on medium speed 4 minutes.
Add whole wheat flour, salt, wheat germ and remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Knead on a lightly floured surface 3-4 minutes until smooth.
Cover and let rest 5 minutes. Divide into 9 equal pieces.
Roll each into a 15 inch rope and roll lightlly in salt or seeds.
Shape in a pretzel.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
