Since more fires begin in the kitchen than any other room in the house, I thought it would be a good idea to review the recipe for mimimizing the risk of a kitchen fire.
Never leave cooking unattended.
If you must leave the kitchen, turn OFF the burner.
Keep your stovetop and cooking area clean and free of combustibles

If a fire start in the pan, slide the lid on and turn off the burner.

Practice fire safety techniques with children
Never leave them to cook in the kitchen without the suervision of an adult.
