CAKES

BANANA NUT CAKE

  • Measure into sifter: 2 C. Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Soda
  • 3/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 1/3 C. Sugar
  • Measure into Bowl: 1/2 C. Shortening
  • Measure into Cup: 1/2 C. Sour Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • Have Ready:
  • 1 C. Mashed Banana
  • 2 Eggs
  • Nuts
  • Stir shortening and dry ingredients.
  • Add 1/4 C. milk and the bananas and mix until all until all flour is dampened.
  • Add eggs and nuts and remaining milk.
  • Bake in moderate oven about 25 min.
