LOST PARCEL - Merchandise #EG039555425IN

November 1st, 2010 I went to the India Post. On the outside of the post office was rows of gunny sacks hanging on the fences. I am a little worrid that this is the mailing system. I wanted to pay extra so that my package (parcel) could be track by their "Express Parcle Post". Gorak was with me to help translate.

We had to have the package wrapped. They have this man sitting outside the post office and he wraps the package in material. He wraps a string around the outside and attaches a piece of paper under the strings. This couldn't get lost.

Went back inside to mail the parcel. Stood in line and paid the 500 rupees to mail my parcel

They said it would be there in 5 days. At this point I had faith in the system, http://www.indiapost.gov.in because I had a tracking number Merchandise #EG039555425IN.

Hello sir since past 10 days i am trying to track my parcel and all i get is only phone ringing esle people giving me new numbers to call and talk to different people ?is this Mumbai customs ???

Am mailing on behalf of my madam Mrs Kathy chesnut ,from USA ,residing as of now in Ahmedabad for some time due to business purpose

On 1st Nov she had parcled a gift to her friend in USA texas , from ahmedabad Post office via EMS speed post and after geting no information

We got the message saying cumstoms have kept it on hold due to suspious things in it ..

So why aren’t we were informed about it ? when the number is also mentioned on the parcel

2ndly the parcel contains only a small wodden dice ,with small 5 dices insdie the wooden big dice ..you can open it urself and check

But at least i can get an answer

I called today on 022 26156152 and lucky some 1 picked up , esle some wud be i handel import call after this time, and after that time no one would pick up and this has been going on since 10 days ,today the guy says u have to come here and talk ...i said wat ? i said sir i told u 3 times i am from ahmedabad ...so for a parcel u asking me to come to Bombay ? i said open it and check and send it ....he said u talk to our head and right now he is not in the office...i again called 3 times after that ....and no one picked up the phone

So can i have some help ?

I have eMailed them pictures of the lost parcel. But I don't seem to be getting anywhere. Marhsa says that it will never show up
