        • Married, in Hardin County, Ky. By John Hodgen (VI.E.), August 12, 1824, to Capt. Samuel Weller, who was born in Frederick County, Maryland, January 9, 1787, and came with his father, Daviel Weller, to Nelson County, Kentucky, in 1796. Capt. Samuel Weller was an officer in the War of 1812, under Gen William Henry Harrison. In the year 1813, he married Martha Shields, and by her had five children, viz.,
          1. Daniel Weller (B. 1814, and was lost at age of 14 or 15 years, and never heard of afterwards),
          2. Margaret Bard Weller (B. 1816, married James H. Ashbaugh, and had several children, who settled in Kansas and Nebraska),
          3. Mary Martha Weller (B. 1818),
          4. James Elisha Weller (B. 1820, married and had children, who located in Nebraska),
          5. Ann Isabel Weller (B. 1818).
      • In June, 1823, Capt. Weller purchased from Jacob LaRue (I.G) the farm on Nolynn now know as the W.T. Patterson place, later purchasing other adjoining lands. From 1823 until his death, which occurred October 17, 1854, his home was on Nolynn. The epidemic of typhoid fever in the Fall of 1854, was especially fatal in the Weller family. Most of the members of the family are buried at Nolynn Church, in LaRue County

        • Married, January 16, 1867, Jennie Goodrich, of Oldham County, Ky. Capt. Weller lived in Louisville, but was a frequent visitor in LaRue county. During the Civil War he was an officer in the "Orphan Brigade" of the Confederate Army. From 1880 to 1892 he was Clerk of the Louisville Chancery Court.
